The 14-inch Elite Hybrid layers copper-infused memory foam and responsive and transition foams over a zoned Ascension coil system. Bear offers three firmness choices and an optional CoolForce phase-change cover upgrade.
Our take
Based on the published design, this looks like the balanced premium Bear choice for shoppers who want several firmness options without stepping up to the Ultra's microcoil layer.
Reasons to consider it
Comfort layers over a spring core offer a way to combine cushioning with a more responsive underlying support system.
The tradeoff
Hybrid construction alone does not establish edge strength, motion isolation or cooling. Those vary with the specific layer design.
These comfort observations are editorial inferences from construction and published firmness, not results of hands-on testing.
Price and configurations
The recorded queen configurations span $1,598.80 to $1,799. The lowest amount applies to the least expensive configuration observed, not every firmness, height or cover.
Distinct observed queen prices. Multiple options can share one price; these amounts do not identify a firmness on their own.
For context, the Pro Hybrid starts at $1,298.50 in this catalog, $300.30 less than Elite Hybrid. Compare the construction and firmness below before treating the difference as an upgrade.
